Identity
Vendanges Tardives are the fruit of exceptional years, when grapes are harvested at the end of fall from selected plots of land when they are overripe. Only the four so-called noble grape varieties are authorized: Riesling, Muscat, Pinot Gris and Gewurztraminer.
Winemaking
Pressing of botrytized whole grapes. Strict settling to ensure the clarity of the juices. Alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel vats, followed by aging on fine lees for more than 6 months.
Eye
Straw yellow color with golden highlights.
Nose
Very complex, candied fruit, apricot, pineapple.
In the mouth
The freshness of the Riesling accompanies the roundness of this Vendange Tardive. Notes of acacia honey and candied lemon.
What to eat with the Riesling Vendanges Tardives?

It goes wonderfully with seared foie gras or a lemon meringue tart. It can also be a surprising aperitif.
