Muscat

Muscat: aromas of fruit and orange blossom
Three varieties are used to make Muscat d'Alsace. These are Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains, known as Muscat de Frontignan, Muscat Ottonel and Muscat Rose à Petits Grains. Depending on the dominant variety, the wine can be rather lively or round. But in any case, Muscat is a remarkably aromatic wine from Alsace.
It has a pale yellow, slightly golden color. On the nose, aromas of fresh fruit and orange blossom are expressed. Its clear and fresh texture combined with the very present notes of grapes make it a spontaneous and fragrant wine! Serve chilled, between 8 and 10°C.

Muscat is a grape variety with many faces
The different varieties of Muscat have been used in Alsace since the 16th century. The "small berry" Muscat appeared at the beginning of the 16th century, while the Muscat Ottonel only appeared in Alsace in the middle of the 19th century.
Muscat is an AOC and has benefited from the Alsace Appellation since 1971.

Muscat produces crisp, rather dry wines
Muscat is an early-ripening grape variety with low acidity and a great finesse of aromas, allowing for the production of dry or sweet wines. In Alsace, Muscat is mainly used to make fresh and relatively dry white wines.
A little freshness on your plate
Due to its dry character, Muscat is an Alsatian wine that whets the appetite and will therefore win you over as an aperitif. It is the perfect accompaniment to asparagus, but also to all light dishes based on raw or cooked vegetables. If you like vegetarian or steamed dishes, this is definitely the wine for you!
